Will the Chinese technology reach the Western / Eastern Asian style sophistication?

As of now, many of the Chinese products are regarded as unsophisticated, poor quality.

But I imagine if they reach sophistication like the Western and S. Korean / Japanese, then they would be litterally "dominating" world power.

I haven’t traveled China, so I can’t get a sense of how good they are.
